Ros, we're both in the for LT Marathon. Your 15 miles is a lot further tha I've managed this year. Getting back to being able to run would be a good start :-/ The first year it was a fraction short, and then the second year about 25 miles as they had to reroute due to a bridge being out of action, but it's been a full mara for quite a few years now. It's a beautiful course |

My issue was coming up onto Torver Common, I couldn't help but think that I'd rather be running up the Old Man or Brown Pike.... Although not Wetherlam. No-one enjoys running up Wetherlam... |

Isn't "running up Wetherlam" an oxymoron?

True. I hate the Coniston Horseshoe route up it. It's just horrible. |

fozzy, yep, those few miles towards the end are a bit of a slog! And then you've got all the routes around the lake on knackered legs, which is a recipe for disaster Ros, it was recovering nicely until I got carried away on a rough descent on Tuesday. Given the ease with which it went over it seems it wasn't as strong as I thought it was. Really should know better... |

Sounds like you need one of those Andy Murray-style ankle supports - and to stick to the boring flat stuff for a while. Hope it mends properly this time x |
