I also was in very lonely territory today, did a complete round of the Shap Fells and didn't see a soul. Saw lots of red deer and an adder sunning himself. Tough day out, off-piste all the way.

I ran Lakes Sky Ultra yesterday :) Fab route, wee bit busy coming down Swirral Edge though.

Thinking a lazy day today, might pop out on a boat :)

Might have seen you then Pete, we were camped at Mardale Head until midday. Did you enjoy the route? I was out and about in the High Street area on Friday and saw the route markers being put out.

Yeah, I loved it - most of it was totally new to me, so good to see some different bits of the Lakes. Perhaps less technical than I was expecting

.. but loved it anyway. Tough though, those last few climbs after Helvellyn broke me.

Definitely be back next year :)

looks amazing!

am I right in thinking they took the really technical bits out, multiplied them and turned them into a different race//route?
