something *definitely * happens to me around 90-100 minutes in
I feel ill, lightheaded and weepy
I can abort it with sugar

What I usually do is run through it
My 20 miles last week was done on one jellybaby, and that was spat out cos it was too cold

thanks, Ruth, I'll try some sugar. But I expect I'll generally continue to run through it.

I think sugar just postpones the problem. Running through and telling yourself that it's a temporary feeling that will go away in a while might be better.

I usually get quite depressed around the eight-mile mark of a run. By 10 miles, I'm fine again.
