Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Hello all.I'm all signed up to the full mara. It'll be my second one having ran VLM last year. Was a fun runner then doing it for charity in memory of my first wife. Training this time's going well, although finding it hard to slow down on the LSR's. Need to if not I'll suffer at the end.

Training going well, 18 today, 17 against the wind, absolutely knackered. Hope everyone's build up is going well especially the first timers.

Gave up trying to find a hotel at a reasonable price and booked a hostel - I'll be the oldest one there!

It's still worth running I would say.

I ran Blackpool in windy conditions on Sunday, hoping the weather in a few weeks is kinder to allow a faster time than the 3:21 I posted at the weekend.

Thats good going Cammy. The problem is she was planning to do about 5.00 to 5.15 and I am a 3.50 man, so have not done alot of the long stuff that I would do if i was running for myself. Decisons decisions

A friend of mines ran 3:13 at Lochaber on Sunday having done very few long runs and focus had been on speed work at shorter distances, 20 minute PB too..food for thought?
