Rain was awful waiting at the start but not really noticeable once I got going, knew this was going to be my first sub-2 but got a 1.53 and 11 min PB so really chuffed! Hope everyone had a great time!

Agree about the rain at the start, perfect conditions on the course. No gels at either station for us slower guys, only xs t shirts and no goodie bags left. Bit disappointed. Scary looking medal, hope I don't fall while wearing that or could hurt myself!

That's shocking about the gels ( think they were only due at mile 9 ?? ), t-shirts and goody bags - especially Ts and goody bags, they knew how many were taking part, and who had ordered which size of Ts.
Yet again GSI Events screw up while charging a premium entry fee. I've said before I won't do this again, but still come back.......

Ah ok must have just been people chucking their own gel packs on the ground. But not a single gel left at 9miles. They totally mucked up on the t shirts, the people who finish at the end aren't usually xs (bit of a sweeping statement but no one round me seemed happy with the situation) what's the point in asking us our size and putting it on the number?!
Also, baggage busses were a shambles, my bag was on the ground and covered in mud! Sounds like the shuttle buses weren't great but I got a lift. I got the shuttle bus a few years ago and it was a nightmare so wouldn't do that again!

Agree about the shuttle buses - I used them 2 years ago and it was shocking. I was just going to use a LRT bus for £1.50 today, but thankfully got a lift.
I will really think hard before entering this again

My friend who finished in 1:55 asked for a xs t shirt and was told there were only smalls left! Something doesn't seem right.

Just want to say thanks to the 2 fetches that gave me a shout during the half today. I had a great day and it was well worth doing even though I did it with no training. It's given me boost I needed to start racing again

Had a good run, missed most of the rain during the race, got soaked walking back to flat from shuttle bus drop off. No medium t-shirt left when I finished, why put a big M on your number and not have enough. Hope the small fits, although it's the same blue as previous years.

I ran with N who was doing his first race since a bad accident in December. Really proud if him, no walk breaks and just under 1:54. My goodie bag only had a bland biscuit in it, Shuttle buses are ridiculous. We queued for at least 30 mins with no sign of any movement. Gave up in the end, walked 5 mins to the train station and had a 12 minute journey, £3.80. Shame really as we enjoyed the course itself.

Got an 11 sec PB, but with an 11 min positive split. I didn't run a very intelligent race today. Also got soaked when the heavens opened with just a mile to go (when coincidentally my hamstring, which had been threatening to since Gosford house, decided to go ping). As someone else noted, bags were left on the grass, which really isn't classy.
Fortunately, since they've decided to hold it AFTER half term next year I won't be able to do it till 2016 at the earliest.
