Fair shout! I really should get a lighter coloured top sorted out, but my red one is heavier (even warmer) and I've convinced myself that the black Loch Ness Marathon tops are lucky!

I have a black loch ness marathon t-shirt from 2013. Not sure it was "lucky" but at least I finished so I reckon I earned it :)

No quad-destroying downhill section at the start of Edinburgh to wreak havoc with your legs, and no killer hill at 20 miles to worry about either! Edinburgh should be an easier day than Loch Ness.

6mph Fergus...its getting lighter :) still no sign of sun. great

im used to seeing Fergus in his black running gear at work, its now normal :)

I predict that winds will be variable, light to moderate, freshening ;-)

(Actually, winds over the last couple of months have been a bit odd. Long spells of Easterlies, but sometimes veering 180° and many days going from negligible up to around 10 am to strong breeze.)
