Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

I'm pretty much always an early morning runner. At this time of year it's lovely because it's cool and still but not quite dark yet. I was so glad I was out at 6:17 this morning for this view:

Tynemouth Swit - looking towards South Shields. You can see the old outdoor pool below the shelter. I must admit I don't get many morning's as glorious as that.

That photo is breathtaking, Scribbler. How beautiful.
I was out just as it started to get light (5:45am) but was home before the sun rise really got going. I'm going to miss the sunrises when I'm stuck in the dark every morning by the end of this month :(

Beautiful sunrise photos.

I’m trying to get back into the pre-dawn training run routine now the school term has started. I am already at the stage of needing my torch....

That is a superb picture Scribbler :)

I wore my Tony torch for an evening walk to Castlerigg Stones a couple of weeks ago.. I was most surprised when a tractor stopped beside me and the driver said thank you for being visible. most walkers aren't! - i did wonder if I'd half-blinded him and it was a sarcastic comment.........

I love early morning running; it's how I started running in the first place. I need a bit more time these days to get my creaky bones warmed up.

I much prefer early morning runs. Peaceful start to the day as it's off-road for me (apart from the birds waking which is pleasant).

It was just cool and grey this morning. Bit of a run walk for me. I definitely have something a bit twiddly in my left foot.
