When I hit the button the selected text just 'unhighlights'regardless of which one I've pressed.

However if I press the image button my pics appear so that one's working

No and Gus posted pics of the steps he's doing to get it to work.
I'm doing exactly the same but the highlighting just disappears when I select a format
