Rams were smashed on the field and looking at the stands there seemed to be a large number of Bills fans and if I remember correctly the Rams are the popular LA team.

Yep. Rams and Lakers. Chargers and Clippers very much “the other team”.

Considering they are the champs you might expect they'd sell more tickets? maybe the Bills filled the visible seats in the end zone?
On a separate note how did I not notice Fox have a College Football analyst called Booger MacFarland.

Just caught the end of Alabama @ Texas. Thought it could be a huge upset but Texas left too much time on the clock.
Atmosphere looked fantastic. College football has to be on the bucket list.

College sports in general is nuts. Most of my experience is at Army, which isn't big time. Or occasionally Penn State, which is.

Always looks insane with the top teams. Think we've discussed this before, but the big college teams have bigger stadiums and bigger attendances. Tennesse have reduced their capacity to a mere 101,915. On the other side of the state the Titans capacity is 69,143. There might be more corporate boxes in NFL than college football.

College sports is cheaper and more fun (much more tailgating*).
* partying in the car park for the uninitiated.

I saw UCF v Penn State in Dublin at Croke Park a few years ago. It wasn’t anywhere near full, but the parties in around Temple Bar the night before were good fun. We have Notre Dame visiting next year, which might be interesting.
Did you see the Iowa result from last week? They beat South Dakota 7-3, but didn’t score a TD. (A field goal and two safeties)
