What is up boys? Looks like the CBA has passed.

Extended playoffs this year. 17 game regular season likely to start in 2022. Possibly a *lot* more London games from then on.

Not sure all the players will look forward to a 17 game season.

Increasing the roster to 55 players, meh. Help if some teams played all the players in the roster through the season

"While there will be a decrease in padded practices at training camp, down from 28 to 16. Padded practices will be limited to 2.5 hours, down from 3."

That's a hell of a big decrease in padded training.

Apart from the ‘more games in London’ carrot the 17-game season is all downside to me. Didn’t see a mention of the purported reduction in pre-season games when I scanned the announcement just now.

Seems like it got through by 60 votes.

Don't agree with this either, the NFL is way too soft on its players.

Changes to the drug policy include a reduction in penalties for players who test positive for THC (eliminating suspensions solely based on positive tests), an abbreviated testing window (from four months to two weeks at the start of training camp) and a significant increase in the threshold for a positive test (nanogram limit rises from 35 to 150).

Will there be games elsewhere? We went to watch a Spanish team playing a NFL team in Glasgow (Hampden pArk IIRC) about 20 years ago - it was ok apart from the random moments of "pause" while the US went to adverts.

The ‘extra games’ model holds possibility for one in Scotland, one in Germany and one in Spain, as I understand the rumours.

Nobody is talking about Anchorage or Honolulu though which surprised me.

Full disclosure- my source was not necessarily utterly reliable - it was a UK GB Packers fan forum.

And no, I’m not a GB chap myself.
