It'll be a combination of Brady and offensive line.

I think they'll expect steady play (which is an improvement) and hope for more. Gronk is probably the better value signing tbh (they don't get him without Brady though).

Remember Payton Manning didn't 'win' Denver the Super Bowl in his last season.

Brilliant in today’s Globe:

Clearly, the Patriots are a shell of their former selves.

It’s almost as if Belichick is intentionally handicapping himself — like when Larry Bird pledged to take only lefthanded shots in a road win at Portland back in 1986.

How can Belichick be so Bird-like, cocky and calm, while the Patriot dynasty seems to be crumbling?

I give you three words: Bills, Dolphins, Jets.

HowFar?
I heard that the Pats are still the betting favourites to take the division title.

News today that Andy ‘red rifle’ Dalton is off to Dallas for a year.

Yes, I just saw that. Dallas are going to be an interesting team to watch next season. $7m is the number on NFL.com

At least he will have a better offensive line that at Cincinnati. Out of the pocket, I'd still prefer Prescott as the starting QB.

I can't imagine he'll be anything other than a backup.

The sentimentalist in me likes him going home to Texas to make way for an Ohio-born rookie at Cincinnati.

To release Dalton, clearly shows that the Bengals want their #1 draft pick, Joe Burrow, to start. Initially, it was wondered whether the Patriots would snap him up.

I'm still not convinced about Kyler Murray, last year's #1 pick at Arizona as he seems a bit of a lightweight QB. The Bengals are seemingly much more confident in their acquisition.

Burrows should do well, but the rumours persist that anyone would have looked good behind the LSU offensive line.

ION, it seems from an article in the Globe this morning that tattoogate isn’t going away any time soon.
