re-reading my last post I did go off on one there, apologies. sad to read about Don Shula dying, still 90 ain't a bad age and his Dolphins still have the season winning run under his Coaching to look back on. There was a good programme on NFL Films I watched but now cannot find interviewing him and a bunch of old players about that season. |

My daughter, who never watches anything on TV for long, has been glued to NFL highlights since dinner. These include match highlights, players comments being picked up on mics, etc. It looks like I have an NFL Redzone buddy come September.

Not checked the podcast yet Grep but I've heard the recent talk that if Jordan had more time, he'd eventually have made it. This article on Jerry Krause is a good read: theringer.com Can definitely see the one sidedness in the doc, even though I'm enjoying it. This week the this is the only way to win and the dismissal of Payton was a little annoying. |

I side with the opinion that had MJ stuck with baseball he would have progressed like Tim Tebow. Good, and an interesting side show because of the back story, but not good enough for MLB, even at replacement level. Maybe this thread needs to be repurposed as a US sport thread! |

I was seriously considering an MLB one (either ‘Walk Everyone’ or ‘Take Everyone out to the ball game’). There is, or used to be, a hockey one. That just leave hoops. And MLS about which I give every fewer shits than I do the English Premier League. Which isn’t many.

I’ll get Fetch to change it - ‘NFL’ in the title rules out college football, for a start. As Dan Hanzus would say, “In. Other. News.”. Alex Curuso came over as a really decent guy in the Zach Lowe interview I just listened to. That was a bit of a surprise. |
