Oh dear. Another eminently winnable game lost.
Looks like I’ll have a more interesting off season than you lot because of the draft. Last faint hope of January football gone now though.

I think Brady just gives them a competent QB. Will be interesting if Winston plays well for the Saints if he gets a few games as I do wonder if the Bucs should have given him another season, but he probably had lost the trust of everyone. Backup behind a QB like Brees who shows him he doesn't need to be a hero to be elite is probably what will help him go to the next level.
Hopkins catch and bringing into his body was next level. Didn't even give them a chance really.

Brady still turns it over when under pressure like most humans but Winston just wasn't a safe enough pair of hands.
Obviously a lot has changed in a year. Brady has a lot of weapons at the Buccs but he is 23-7 TD/INT and Winston was 33/30 with some very handy receivers as well.

That 33 was second in the NFL last year and the 30 was first so proper Jekyll and Hyde stuff.
He also led the league in passing yards, yards per game, pick 6s, throws attempted (joint). TBH it almost looks like he was overused TBH.
The eye laser surgery shouldn't be under estimated either. Ringer had an article during the off season which showed some of the interceptions looked like he simply didn't see the defenders. That obviously could be simply tunnel vision but if it was an eye sight issue...

Oh definitely the guy has talent but they just saw him as too erratic. I don't think he is a bust by any means.

Yeah agreed. I initially thought Brady didn't make sense but he generally won't make silly mistakes and with a team built to win now he works. What they don't want to do is lose because of their QB and that generally shouldn't happen with Brady. If they had time (so win in three years) then trying to develop Winston might have worked.
Even if Winston has fixed his issues this year, a win now team needs a guarantee at QB.
