I'm slightly struggling to interpret that chart - the Steelers are between the Jets and the Giants on the far left, and we've happily got a rather different record to them this year...

I don't really understand it either. But then I don't *really* understand DVOA either. Remember a week or so back I claimed the Chargers were the best 2-5 team in history? I'm starting to think the Steelers are one of the worst 8-0 teams for a while. I know you can only pick up so much on a six minute highlight reel but I'm just not convinced. |

Presumably pass block win rate is if the offensive line holds the rush for X number of seconds? So it won't be something silly like 5 secs. Run block, runner not stopped behind line of scrimmage? My first thought when seeing it re Chargers is Herbert must be playing out of his skin if the line is that bad. Probably should have googled first. I'm amazed the Eagles are so high given the offensive line injuries. |

I was right about pass block win rate and the answer is 2.5 secs. Run block win rate is a little more complicated but does make some sense. espn.com |
