If I lived where GimmeMedals did, 20 stone would be an aspirational weight...

What is this thread's position on the cronut? I'll see if I can dig out a picture. Me and youngest had some in Malmo a few years ago - we'd cycled across Denmark and into Sweden... so we'd done our exercise.
A cronut is half-croissant, half-donut... with sugar and melted choc all over it. It was a little bit much to be honest and I'd have probably preferred a separate croissant and donut.

I've never had a yum yum, or a churro. This needs to be rectified forthwith!
Love doughnuts, hot ones at seaside, jammy ones or custard ones. Fresh is best

How shit is it when you misplace a bite on a donut and the filling splurges out, usually over whatever your'e wearing.
Its enough to make you have another one so you do get to eat the filling.....

I used to take a while examining a doughnut to see where the jam had been put in to give me a fighting chance of getting the jam first up.
Cronut, never had one, but was tempted to go out and find one when I first read about them.
Incidentally, doughnuts are why I am banned from owning a deep fat fryer, well doughnuts and fish and chips.

These are cronuts. I remembered them wrongly: the choc must have been on the inside.
I realise they look more like regular donuts but if you look closely, that nearest one has layers of croissant-like pastry.

When I was in the fire brigade you knew it was going to be a tough day when the gaffer turned up with YumYums... especially if they were on offer straight after the J4 inspection.
