@NZD that’s interesting. Do you just get it running? My issue tends to kick off after about 2-2.5 hours.

@hellen will Fmail but broadly speaking is/was symptomatic for weeks - months on end but has only been a problem while running (a proximity to facilities issue), and then only about 10% of the time (less so now due to better management). Especially initially, most instances were after an hour or so but occasionally within half an hour. My longest runs in HM training were almost all less than 2.5 hrs, and these days mostly less than about 105 minutes.

One potentially compounding (/early trigger?) issue in my case is that for morning runs I have been 'pre-fuelling' with a quarter of a Musashi 45g high protein bar + part of a banana. I only started doing that about the time the problem started and sometimes do wonder if the protein bar may have some laxative effect? That aside though, I have now been clinically diagnosed as having 'exocrine pancreatic insufficiency' (as of about a year ago) which is the main factor at least in terms of symptoms. As mentioned, now on Creon but only since about 10 days ago so too soon to know what the longer term impact will be.

I have seen that you can get sports drinks which have double the carbs eg OTE super carbs and mountain fuel to name a couple. Has anyone tried them? Are they OK? They are quite expensive so thought I would get some feedback before purchasing to try. See below for why I am looking at these…..
