I've got 3 friends coming for lunch on Tuesday. The temperature is looking colder by the day (4* feeling like zero down from 9* when we arranged it) so I'm knitting them a neck cowl each. I made one using fluffy wool, which I've not knitted with before, and it's come out so soft. It hides the stripe of pink

but the inside is all fluff and softness.

That’s great, Moo! Pete would be sitting there all day! :)
Love that cowl, GM - looks so snuggly.

Wow - I don't visit the site for a couple of days and there are 350 posts in this thread to read!
So - I don't know when I last posted a newt but on Wednesday we moved house which is a fairly massive newt.

Other house related newts include Thursday - slept in new house for first time
Friday - cooked dinner (tea/supper) in a gas oven for the first time ever in my life.
Today's newt will be taking the dog for a walk from the new house (although we have done lots of walks with her in this area in the time we have had her so it won't be a completely new walk.)
Can't stop for long though - many boxes to unpack and work out where stuff will go...... :-)

Those are hard to beat Newts, Baroness. Do you all feel good about the new place now you're in?

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
