Hanneke Mar 2021 3:44pm, 27 Mar 2021 71,905 posts	0 Hanneke My newt is I am.pacing myself in the garden! Been digging up and cutting back the brambles to liberate wild daffodils underneath! I normally never pace myself! Now having a cup of turmeric root, then I go for a little walk exploring another newt footpath... Weather isn't great, wind has picked up, so I will stay low.

She is now a Head and so she invited me to her new school to show me round and told me all about the changes she's made already, after just a term. It was lovely to see her for the first time this year and for the first time since she became a headteacher. I'm very proud of her.

The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.
