Not really a newt but today I've really noticed all the birdsong in the garden - much more than in recent weeks, a real sound of spring and perhaps an indication that the Sparrowhawk is hunting elsewhere for its food at the moment.

I have been for a Nordic walk, but burst into running in the middle, so logged it as a run/walk, as more than half was running. I explored a newt route, along the river through fields full of lambs and it was fab!

Great choice Fleecy

We have been investing in premium bonds and generally have a win at least every other month, makes more sense then leaving in account with no interest.

I also put money away each month for the Grandkids in premium bonds.

My newt today (sorry off) was we picked the Camper up and it has had its pop top and heater installed ready for all our UK travels

Not a great photo as to late to take some when home but that's will the scenic cover open

Mr GM was cooking steaks on the bbq for tea so I’ve set the table, opened a bottle of wine and asked Alexa to play some romantic music as a surprise for him. We had a lovely meal.

Newt hat arrived just in time for summer! I tried to persuade the dog to get in the photo with me but apparently he was very busy...

Recorded not-very-good dressage test. Just need to upload it now.

Love the newt hat. Good Friday is ALWAYS* cold so have it at the ready. That's one of the two colour combos I really liked. 'Sea' something?

*well it was in my childhood when we always went bloody hiking.

About This Thread

starblackheartstar The sixth running of Do a New Thing for Spring starblackheartstar

Lent has a special and specific meaning to Christians but has become an secular season of denial and hair shirting that serves no positve purpose. No chocolate, no booze, no -er - other stuff.

Why not treat the build up to Easter - as a chance to celebrate and embrace NEW THINGS - that's what spring is about after all.

The first few pages of the thread give more ideas.
