I get the idea of doing hard things, but he takes it to such extremes that it's detrimental to his health and isn't a great example to normal people. He seems to flog plenty of books, though, so what do I know.

He also started the Goggins 4x4x48 (misnomered?) challenge whereby I think you run 4miles every 4hours for 48hours. Someone at my old club absolutely loved him.
