Prior 6, Bresnan 7, broad 8, Swann 9 still isn't a bad batting line-up. Bairstow for Taylor might be more likely though.

Not so long ago the tests and county matches were aligned and in between internationals a player could go back to their county and get a knock. I don't think batsmen could spend too much time in the middle. Certainly in the case of Trott, Cook, Root, Bairstow and Prior, going back and spanking some county trundlers around would do them the power of good, get the feet moving, get the confidence up. Would do the county game good too to let the England players perform in front of more fans.
