He was responsible for me getting bowled a lot because of my exaggerated back lift

Pringle was a genuine all rounder. Couldn't bat, couldn't bowl shame I can't remember what his fielding was like..... He was one of the 'new Botham' cabs off the rank I believe, latest in a long line of County bits and pieces filth trying to fill Beefy's shoes. To my discredit I put Woakes in the same folder, but to his absolute credit (with a nod to the coaches as well) he has stepped up in a major and unexpected way. Shows how sometimes the coaches see something we internet no marks don't, and they persist when we're calling for him to be dropped and they are proved 100% right. Maybe they should have persisted with Pringle....;-).....naaahh, he WAS shit.... Re Bangla, good series win that. Could have gone either way, but with us not at full strength it's a great effort. Some real firepower in the batting line up. |

I would argue that Pringle was the first new Botham

Excellent, Let's see Dickie Bird, Larry Gomes, Murray keeper? Lloyd at first slip? Who is the other batsman? Woolmer maybe,

espncricinfo.com I'll go for David Steele up the other end in England's 2nd innings. It's 1976, so defo Murray, but not Gomes. |

I'd say it is Gomes. Sub fielder.
