Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

7,000? Take it back then. It looked *empty* on the tellybox.

Good win for middx. Takes me back to the days i used to watch them Uxbridge.

Anyway. Did anyone else read that because the pitches down at Taunton are so dry it is going to be renamed as Ciderabad.

Test contract for Finn. I don't mind admitting I'm a bit puzzled by that one

Not as puzzled as the days when Dernbach was an ever-present in the short form teams.

He's fast and gets wickets and appears to be able to keep himself fit.

Anderson, as we are now seeing is on the wane, not long left fro him, Broad will soon be in the same state, Wood, you may not seem him much from now on....so, keep Finn in a state of readiness.

I'd like to see Jimmy get 500. Might get past Walsh. Outside chance of getting past Glenda.

Durham relegated and Hampshire reinstated! Durham start next season on -48 points and lose the right to stage Tests.

Quite frankly, it seems to be the fact that they were obliged to bid for Tests (and then got the less popular games at the less popular times of year) which put them in the position they're in now.

Turns out the ECB are idiots; who knew..?

Blimey!!!

Still, every cloud and all that, Notts might not finish bottom with a 48 point start, even with Peter Moores in charge.

I just read that. BBC.

I think the smaller test grounds over-reach themselves, it's like Cardiff, fine if you get an Ashes series, not so fine if you end up with Sri Lanka on a we May bank holiday....as you say.

Are they obliged or shall we say 'forced'. I don't know the ins and outs of the bidding process...

The new T20 comp will stuff them too, and others.
