It makes you think, wrong coach, yes, but the captain, who is the captain now, had his part to play in it....I think it shows the captain in ODIs is not much of deal..it is still formulaic.

Think England should have got more. Only lost three wickets - plenty of batting in reserve. Plus Buttler went to trying to hit the cover off each delivery towards the end and lost his shape. Only 13 off the last two overs.
Must do better IMO.

I think we should have declared at 370. Cook-esque conservatism batting long after the game was won; might have won earlier if Pakistan had even a theoretical glimmer of a chase.

That's even before we allowed a record ODI score by a number 11. We have a distinct weakness knocking over the tail - Ashton Agar, Tino Best etc...

Indeed Teabers, also factor in the dropped catches, wickets off no balls and misfields by Pakistan and it's a miracle we staggered over the line for the win at all....
Roy flopped as well.
