You can have the last laugh today. Another bloomin' collapse. Too many players doing 'their bit' in only one innings out of four isn't good enough. All 18 Surrey wickets so far have gone to the spinners which is concerning. Apart from Tom Curran, nobody made any effort to put on the runs so to scrape two batting points was an effort.

Cameron Steel bowls a total of 6-0-38-0 and faces only nine balls for a pair. Brilliant contribution that is! I couldn't have done any worse.

Rain is forecast in Taunton right now. That is going to be the only way to save this match.

Not a bad performance by Archie Vaughan as an 18 year old off spinner in only his second first class match - six wickets in the first innings and five so far in the second.

In a way I’m upset Surrey lost. It makes the fat bat deduction sting an awful lot more. That and the bizarre loss to Worcs a couple of weeks ago.

Console yourself in the fact that the BHF are the Chelsea of the county championship and cheat their way to titles. Always good to see them lose.
