If anyone ever says DRS hasn't improved the game. |

The first Alec Stewart decision is just plain scandalous.

Neutral Umpires were quite a handy development.

I once came up against an umpire who didn't know the LBW rule but I was probably about 13 or so playing in a school game so it's a bit more forgivable perhaps. They had a bowler going right arm round the wicket (and quite wide in the crease too), I kicked away his leg side filth and was promptly given out!

They had a bowler going right arm round the wicket (and quite wide in the crease too), I kicked away his leg side filth and was promptly given out! I had exactly the same once in a Sunday friendly. As I trudged off I said something about not knowing the rules and the umpire replied I didn't play a shot. To make matters worse, the umpire was a female, so all my moaning was dismissed as sexism by the opposition. |

Yeah, I have been seen off by right arm round before now. Never impressed. Some of those up there are shockers though.

I see that, in order to deflect from questions about stupid shots when trying to save/get back into a game, they are currently playing the: "will ben stokes bowl in the 4th test" card I put it to the England management that if he hadn't played in the World Cup and instead had his surgery as planned then, he could have been rehabbed in time for the India series and fit to bowl from the 1st test..... |

The oddest story about that is it seems to be syndicated. Think it was pretty much identical in The Times.
