Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

What can I say? Chase a small target and you start becoming very unprofessional in your approach. Poor batting from Surrey.

Obviously I don't see much of Surrey in white ball, but they seem to be a team of bowlers who bat a bit. Only have to study England in World Cup '99 to see how a team of.. ahem "allrounders" fare in white ball cricket

For a team that only got into the quarter-finals by virtue of a last ball six that was nearly relay caught or put back inside the rope, Essex seem to have one hand on the trophy. Then again, Somerset defended a similar total a matter of hours ago.

The Fetch Cricket WhatsApp group made for an interesting drive back from Southampton. Siri reading out phrases like "Biased fucking Surrey wankers" enlivened the journey no end.

I didn't listen to the commentary but that doesn't seem right. Even I will admit that. Can't be worse than Brian Moore (ex-hooker) doing England rugby matches.

The thought of bias always goes through my mind every time a former player of the opposition is appointed as umpire for a Surrey fixture. Even though we are talking about that very English, gentlemen's sport we all follow.

Starting to wish I'd stayed in the car and done another lap of the M25 listening to TRIH.

After the semi-final, I know exactly how you're feeling, GregP.

If we had won the semi-final, my wife and I probably wouldn't be speaking as we would both be wanting the bragging rights in our house.
