Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Yes. I struggled to find many American players. Not sure even some of them were actually playing yesterday.

It’s one of the things some of these leagues have done is ensure there has to be some local talent playing, and therefore also learning from the best.

That's probably it for today. Rain forecast through to 10.00 pm and then tomorrow from 10.00 am until about 4.00 pm.

I can see something similar to 2020 when the semi-finals were 11 overs and the final 16 overs.

Canada clearly had little space for cricket development with a packed curling schedule.

Fun fact. England Vs Canada in the 1979 WC was the first game of anything I followed on Teletext.

Scotland's women lost to Thailand last week. Who knew Thai women played cricket?

Bowling a bit short in the opening stages but we're starting to tighten it up a bit now. Just keep knocking those wickets over and not to let the new batters play.

To restrict Somerset to 142-7 (19 overs) is fantastic. Especially after a decent power play. Just don't do anything silly now in reply!

What did I say? Got stuck into a just a run a ball then lose three wickets. I ran a DLS check at 5 overs and Somerset would win by 23 runs.

If Surrey bat deep, why is Curran T in already?

Not sure to be honest. I still haven't worked out Jamie Overton's presence in the team. he seems to be that extra player in the school team who neither could bat or bowl. Yes, he is very capable of both.

Ever heard a commentator more biased than Mark Butcher?

No, me neither
