No cricket discussion this morning, probably as the game is heading towards its inevitable conclusion. My wife who's watched one cricket game in her life could predict the outcome

It was beyond my wildest imaginings that England would solve their spinner quandary by converting their best quick into a mediocre twiddler!
What next, can their physio hold a bat? Is that even necessary to open in the next test?
Please just put them in a quarantine hotel and keep them there until the series can be cancelled.

Yeah I was surprised by the lack of chat. At least we got a few genuine wickets before they decided to tee off and hole out against the part timers.
468 to win is an ambitious headline.

It's only 40-odd higher than a world record 4th innings. No problem for this batting line-up.

Does she fancy a bat in the third test?

For such a good player, Hameed is pretty skilled at getting out cheaply.

Is there an argument here for Malan to open and bairstow come in in place of one of the openers, or even drop both and bring in Foakes and Bairstow and allow Buttler to concentrate on batting.
