So are we happy with the declaration, or should we have made them come out again this morning? I think this would have really ground them down.
Looks like another good batting day, it going to be hard work for those bowlers.

I think if Buttler had still be in maybe, but grabbing a wicket before the end was a huge pyschological blow for the tourists

Can Buttler become our very own Andy Gilchrist!

TRO Get stuck in...get rid of it.
Morning Qers, morning everybody - are we all in fine shirtsleeve order?
Declaration fine for me. Nicked a wicket last night. Batting on today probably means we would have to force the follow on; and a risk of being timed out and knackering the seamers.
Going now means even if we get the choice of a follow on we can have a biff with the bat, let the bowlers rest up a while then go for the win on a day 5 pitch.
Probably doesn't matter anyway, as I think they'll be still batting at close with only 2-3 down. Really don;lt fancy us on this track, Woakes innocuous, Jimmy's lost his nip and no genuine threat from spin.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now then TRO, hold up your left hand and say after me ''I have faith''
I won't let a certain M Ali's faux pas niggle me today, and fancy him for a few wicket himself - he has nearly 200 so probably should bowl a touch more.

Morning everybody. I think we should give Moeen the benefit of the doubt. It was clearly a typo. He was clearly hoping to raise awareness of one of our footy greats who has fallen on hard times. The bands meant to say 'Save Gazza'.

Morning Qers, morning MDOTs. Quite happy with the declaration as it gave us the chance for a wicket. Jordan looked terrible, hope he bowls better than that today.
I like Woakes, not just because I'm an ethnic Bear, but because his bowling has really come on; he's gained a yard of pace, he has an excellent first class record and he was harshly treated in the Kerrigan Incident Test. Quite fancy that the boy will come good on this pitch.

Not sure I rate Jordan's bowling - at test level anyway. Really not a fan of his run-up and action.

I think Jordan could mature into being an excellent cricketer, but he does look laboured at the moment. I think it's Nasser on Sky who keeps saying he's the sort of cricketer who makes things happen and I can see what he means. There's definitely some sort of star quality which transcends his current 'good county pro' abilities. Just got to hope that it comes to the fore in a Bothamesque rather than Flintoffesque way.
Not sure about Buttler as a keeper; reckon he's got a lot to learn (= code for 'bet he drops a few, starting today.' I'd love to be wrong, but I'm not sure he can catch.)
