I kept wicket only once. It was one time too many. I was the only one prepared to give it a go when the usual wickie failed to show up, I could have done with full body armour, not just a box!

Indeed, OtG, that's one of the things I subsequently learned on a coaching course, and that alone makes everything so much smoother. Being fairly tall I didn't even try the fingers on the ground starting position in the match, seemed pointless at the time to be getting low only to come back up again

Can not believe they have bowled 11.1 overs at Trent Bridge this morning. I'm sat less than a mile away as the crow flies, and our car park is flooded
