If you don't impose any minimums, CAG "Jack" Russell scored 5 centuries and 2 fifties for England in the 1920s. Vaughan the best of "modern" players. Root is one of the all-time worst converters, but perhaps that's related to him having a test average above 50. If you take out those with fewer than 10 of each, Bradman on 29x 100s and 13x 50s will take some beating on the all-time list. Kohli seems to be best among current players.
