Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

That was brilliantly paced. Moeen can do no wrong at the moment.

Who is going to be reserve opener in that Test squad? Also, bearing in mind how frequently England are 45-3, how is bringing Ballancenought in at number 5 going to help?

Looking worse by the day for Stokes, but pretty sure they'll still take him.

Always said that Duckworth Lewis method was sound.....;-)

Stokes in prison is still more useful than Ballance at the crease.

We could all be sitting here early in 2018, sharing large slices of humble pie and praising the selectors for their foresight, vision and courage for sticking with Balance when all us dilettantes had written him off....

Yay, Pears are going up. Boo, Bears are going down...

From the clip on The Sun website, it looks as if one of the blokes who gets hit was initially wielding a bottle. By the utter lack of coordination in some of the punches, I guess everyone had partaken in drink (shocking lack of timing for a professional sportsman at times... though *that* pounch, shot, son!)

Whether the law views it kindly or not, I have little sympathy for anyone whose group thinks using a bottle as a weapon is acceptable, nor anyone who is a willing participant in such trouble who then squawks to the police when they lose.

(and it obviously wasn't Ballance in the clip; Stokes at least managed to get forward...)
