I'm sure Gauntlet used to be tougher, think the gladiators need to work on that one a bit.

...and then it seemed that they might have to slow the travelator down in the women's eliminator.
The male gladiators are big guys but only Fury of the female gladiators seems to have the strength. Two weeks of gauntlet and all the gladiators in that event have been brushed aside too easily. Not quite sure what to make of The Edge. OK, it's about having a head for heights, avoiding a gladiator and agility. However, if the gladiator comes off (like Fury did), you have more or less given yourself a massive boost for the eliminator.

The implements the gladiators are given in gauntlet seem much more of a hindrance than a help. They might get better at using them, I guess, as the series develops.

From memory, they are not allowed to hold the contender or push them over the sides. I guess, just to push or force them backwards. Even though the contenders can swivel when tackled, you would have thought that the gladiators' weight advantage would be enough to stop them.
