Posted as comment on this weeks fix it friday blog too: @Fetch. In removing the activity type dropdown from gpx upload page most (not all) of my bike commutes are being determined as runs. I edit them back but this is screwing up the game 'checkpoints' as that doesn't seem to recheck & adjust scores after editing activity. E.g. fetcheveryone.com/checkpoints-pair.php?pair=11983_2950 |

I left Checkpoint for same reason, too many of my best runs were cycles. Think Fetch is working hard on WSW.

Checkpoints - an idea which I never felt quite worked. The forgotten child of FE games, dressed in rags and usually locked in a cupboard, occasionally being tossed some stale bread and water. Er, ;-). One of the reasons being that many of the checkpoints and sections don't make a lot of sense. I believe that in somewhere it might have drawn inspiration from, users can set segments themselves? I wouldn't go to quite copy that (because, Str*v*aw*nk*rs) but if someone who knew an area could set sensible nodal points to base sections on, it could improve the game immensely. |

@rhb, I agree. Just uploaded my bike ride and it determined it as run... I'd love to run that fast! It seems both Conquercise and Checkpoints don't recalculate. ![]() |

Noticed the changes to use A and B for the checkpoint header part and in the table. But I still don’t know on the map which is which.

On the map shown if you link a new pair/ beat a time they are shown as A and B. At least, they were for me. On the master map, they show A and B if you click on a connecting line. Although, on my notifications since the change, my As and Bs have been the wrong way round. |

Has Checkpoints been quietly retired? Maybe it wasn’t quiet and I just didn’t listen.
