Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I like the Kielder guy's P10 profile: thepowerof10.info

The last line makes a point I think

He's obviously a good runner - sub 80min half marathon is really good - why do you need to cheat?

That BBC vid is good fun. Look at all the 'tells' on his face as he listens to the reporter.

Having said that... I do feel a bit sorry for him. He's a good runner but he's dug himself into a hole.

What I don't understand is that it was reported at the time, or shortly afterwards, that he had admitted cheating. So why is he now un-admitting it (possibly "denying" is the word I'm groping for here) when it is blindingly obvious to the most casual observer that he did in fact cheat?

I think everyone would respect him more if he just said "Yes, I did a really stupid thing, I'm very very sorry".

Two wheels good. Four wheels bad. As Orwell said. Possibly.

If Sloan is innocent, why hasn't he made his Garmin activity public on Garmin Connect! I searched for it, but it's not there. It would be very easy for everyone to see that he'd run the full distance, if indeed that was the case.
