In fact, when it looked like I was going to be deported after 26 years in the UK, because of Brexshit, I spent almost £1000 in getting Lasya vaccinated, immunised against rabies, titre tested, certificated and passported, so that if they came to take me, I could take her with me 😱
I then spent about £8000 on an immigration lawyer to no avail: my income wasn't genuine or effective, so I had to leave. Then came settled status which I was refused... Then, on appeal, 2 days before the deadline, we were allowed to stay and keep the house and garden 😱
Had it not been for Lasya, I am not sure I would have survived 5 years of uncertainty about my status in this country...
Now I am having to prove where I got the money to buy my property from and where my income is coming from! This country is a joke!
All they have to do is look at NHS, HMRC and NIC to know that I simply work hard for little money and pay taxes and a mortgage... 🙄🙄🙄
Lasya, all cats to everyone for that matter, keeps me/keep us sane!
