Ally, at least your neighbour knows where the cat is. I know of cats who have wandered off and the not knowing where they are and if they are okay can be quite upsetting.

Garfield, that would be interesting. She is very typical for her breed: Burmilla, i.e. a cross between a Burmese and a Chinchilla Persian, with Burmese being more dominant/a larger percentage.
She is extremely talkative and very capable of communicating her needs.
She has different miaows for: my litter tray can do with a clean.
My water bowl is empty.
You need to top up my kibble.
Can I have a treat? She actually miaows and walks from me to the cupboard with the treats, sits there and miaows.
She is a little treasure! I often show her off: friend: is she very vocal? Me: Lasya, are you very vocal? Lasya: miaow miaow miaow!
Me: Lasya, shall we show our guests how clever you are?
Lasya: miaow!!!!!
So she does tricks like sitting, standing on her hind legs, recall and talking!
My friend's partner: she probably won't like me.
Me: oh she will, you are a cat person and she is a great judge of character. On queue, Lasya walks over to L., Miaows, he tickles her chin, she purrs :)

No these are clockwork ones so £20 each rather than the £80 microchip one (that you can’t get for love nor money now!)

Hann, we've only noticed it occasionally, though has been wandering around more than in the past. Once I was teaching a lunchtime yoga class on Zoom when in strolls the cat (into the yard, not the house) and was investigating things ..snoopy critter! ;) Hung around for about 10 minutes, which is longer than the usual cat visitors.

They are lovely cats! I got Lasya after cat sitting a friend's cat for 10 days and completely fell in love with their intelligence and social behaviour :)

One disadvantage with having glass-panelled doors
