Funny that, but as it doesn't seem to bother him...
On that not, vets I mean, how are we all like for insurance? When I got Lasya she was a healthy kitten that didn't go outside. Because of her pedigree status, posh moggy really, insurance was exorbitant so I ring fenced £2000 of my savings. So far, 8 years in, I have had 1 £365 bill for her being attacked by a dog, another £200 odd for having her teeth sorted and an uninsured bill for her passport, tetanus injection and titre test. The latter because of Brexshit!!! It cost something like £600 in total all private, i.e. uninsurable. Oh and I had her neutered, which would also not have been covered... I am still very much quids in. As in premiums would have exceeded cost of insurance.

Awwwww... I think insurance is only worth it if your cat has or develops something like diabetes or is a fervent, fighting outdoor cat. Most money is spent on traffic encounters and such...

I got a lot of criticism over not insuring Lasya. So far, I have happily footed the bills...

We opted not to insure Caspar and Ellie - not through PetPlan anyway. When I looked at the cost it was a lot more than I'd anticipate in normal annual vet bills.
With Lenin, who developed kidney disease suddenly at the age of 11, we probably spent around £1500 on his last few months of care. And Pablo was about £900 for teeth removal at the age of 8 plus probably another £1000 on his IBD (including scans etc) at 15. So for each of them it averaged just over £100 per year in bills, compared to £300 in annual insurance cost.

I think if you can afford not to insure then you generally save a lot of money but that's where they get you isn't it
