He slept on our bed last night but at 0630 this morning, a plaintive bleeting came from outside our door. Meeeeeeeeep... until I opened it to reunite her with him. He still remains aloof. Poor Edda. I have been that girl.

It's also the name of a mythological giant in The Wolf Hall series of books and in those books Thomas Cromwell names his cat after the giant. My Marlinspike is kind of named after a cat in a story who was named after a giant in a story in the story. 🤣 I thought it was a good name for a cat.

So, on the right hand side of the photo is a brand new cat blanket that Gizmo's new momy (my wife got promoted when mom passed away) purchased for him on Sunday. He does like it, but when there's something of mine to sleep on, then he will, and he does.

She has clung to me like a limpet ever since I cam out of hospital in March, until recently: I am doing better!
