I've opted for making sure that I only put down enough dried food for three cats (because we have three cats!) in a day, split between morning and evening, so that there isn't always dried food for him to graze on. Plus they get a pouch split between them morning and evening. No idea whether he's lost any weight but at least I feel that I'm helping to prevent any further gain.
