We sometimes wonder if our two would have been better adopted separately. Of course we love both and have no intention of parting with either. And every now and again they groom each other and snuggle up together. Anyway at least you don't have to spend half an hour every morning watching to make sure one cat isn't eating the other's food!

And a friend of mine has brother and sister and they hate each other and go out of the way to avoid each other. OK in a big house with a cat flap: they are rarely both in the house, one goes into the neighbours empty rabbit hutch! But in my small chapel without cat flap: not so good!
