Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,

You're a better man than me Nick, I don't know how you stand it. If I hadn't been wearing full leg cover when I was out running last Saturday I think I'd have been a serious candidate for hypothermia.

AND I've got some fleecy lined Gore running tights for when it gets extreme.

True. It's all relative ... I'm guessing you don't venture onto ground above 2,000ft on a regular basis? Fleecy tights are a really good thing when you're stuck on top of some God-forsaken mountain with a 60mph wind and it's well below freezing :-)

I have calf guards which I only wear when racing. Rest of the time I train in compression socks.

Didn't wear a pair of tights all last winter; don't think I did anyway. In fact, I've forgotten where mine are.

Of course, at this point someone's bound to dug a picture out of me in tights last year...

I always wonder how people who rely on compression sock and tight for recovery after runs manage in summer. I actually like wearing the socks under jeans in the winter but as soon as it's summer... Can't do it.

These work for me and recovery well and no cramps afterwards. There is a size chart for fitting as well.

Some will say we would have been born with tighter skin should compression wear have any benefit. Not in my experience.

Interesting to note that many only use the guards after the run. Assumed I would need to run in them. Live and learn.

Will be testing some tonight but the Red Venom ones seem good. Emailed them checking sizes and they suggested the graduated ones if I were running in them, the "normal" ones if using for recovery. Didn't even know there were two types! :-)
