You mean the combination room one? Yes, it is a recurring problem, but it is now "major". It only reopened a few weeks ago.

If my buddy Andy in Tokyo breaks a fingernail can I get assistance from work when it comes to saying I’m sorry to hear it?

Good afternoon,

On behalf of Silver Team, a quick update on the lighting situation this week.

Work is now complete in the Map Room, which is once more open as usual.
The light in the Aoi stairwell is being changed today (Tuesday 28 Feb). Staff and users can continue to gain access to the area using the lift.
No work will happen on Wednesday 01 March as the contractors have commitments elsewhere.
The marquee in the South Courtyard is now at capacity, so the remaining light fittings will be stored in the North Courtyard marquee until the lights are collected. Apologies that the marquees will be unavailable for use in the meantime.
Work is expected to begin in Digital Services on Thursday 02 March. Local arrangements are being made with staff who work in that area.
The plan once that work is finished is to move to the Rare Books Reading Room, then the Commonwealth Room. Although it isn’t yet possible to confirm the schedule, we are making users aware that this programme of work will continue for the next two and a half weeks, so that they can make alternative arrangements for work space if they wish.

We’ll update you as soon as the next steps of the timeline are confirmed.

Other than needing a degree to understand the schedule of works (as yet unscheduled), what I learnt there was that I can get a lift to the stairwell.
