Dear All, You may notice a chemical-smell on the main floor of the library, particularly round the corridors towards Rare Books. This is from a problem this morning with a light fitting in the Rare Books Reading Room. The issue was contained by our fast-acting Facilities Team, and by the swift action of Rare Books to clear the Reading Room. Rare Books will operate from the Manuscript Reading Room today, and possibly tomorrow. My thanks to colleagues in the Facilities Team and in Rare Books for fast action. |
