Lots of companies, Diogenes. Amazon for one. Someone I was working with, when suggested they apply to Tesco, said they couldn't, due to their drug testing. So there's another.
If it was introduced in my normal workplace, there would previously have been about 20% of the staff remaining. Or maybe 10%. Although from the wording, ching and speed might have been excluded.

I worked for a company with its own fire brigade, and because those staff were not allowed a drop of alchohol, the rule was applied very strictly across the company out of solidarity, but only when we were wearing or supposed to be wearing our badges.

Merry Fizzmas :-)
My company reserves the right to test, but I’ve never heard of it actually being done.

Update on xxx. The river is frozen, hence the spikes. We have disabled the alarms and exports from xxx for 2 days which should hopefully give it time to thaw out.

Dio, I spent years working in construction where such tests are randomly and rigorously applied. I've seen a regional director go quite pale at being summoned for a random D&A test the morning after client entertaining (he consciously hadn't driven to work). We regularly fired 5/10% of new trainee intakes on their first morning for failing the test they'd been told they would have. Railways are also heavily into testing staff and contractors. In an environment where getting it wrong kills people, I'm all for testing.

yep - my dad worked in Australia construction and they had voluntary breathalysers on the front gate. His head of construction was a bit worried he had too many beers the night before so self-tested and was over the limit
He spent the morning conducting his meetings and business in the car park until he passed the level at lunchtime
