Apparently "stop replying all you bunch of f****** idiots" wouldn't be appropriate for a company blog.
A more measured approach showing examples of the damage of email storms was used in the end including the NHS one.

*** If you were going to design a more obvious phishing/malware email, you'd struggle. Hence deleted rapidly without opening and reported to internal IT function. As did several hundred colleagues, most of whom are pretty well trained in the meaning of InfoSec and the consequences of clicking on nasty unexpected things in inboxes. IT confirm it as a high priority malware incident due to the volume of reports and advise that all recipients delete it immediately and share warnings to colleagues.
This afternoon, a follow-up email arrives via line management. The email is in fact a genuine missive from HR concerning pay...
