Fierce and Fearless Fleecy
I had sponges at the Badger half the year it was 32c. They helped though it was still a hideously hot experience. Why are we all discussing running on this thread? That's just wrong!

I've done a few UK races with sponges (and failing miserably to think which they were) but I do recall the water in them tastes awful if you try to drink it!
