Bottom was mostly poor and then made me cry with laughter periodically without knowing why other than it was unsound and violent.

I suspect I’d find Bottom pretty lame now, but I found it hilarious when watching it with flat mates as a drunken student.

Agree on the age thing, hence young ones hit the mark and Bottom/Arse didn’t. Repeats of Young Ones a bit meh as well, despite loving it at the time.
