Is anyone else old enough to remember The Liver Birds?
We had it tough in the 60's

If Renta-ghost is going in, we must be able to have Clive Dunn's 1980's sit-com, 'Grandad.'
Yes? Who's with me ?

I remember The Liver Birds being crap.
I have a distant memory of The Liver Birds clashing with Fawlty Towers? Must have been BBC1 and BBC2? My parents wanted to watch the unfunny scousers, but my elder brother had discovered Basil. Luckily, he won and we watched Fawlty Towers.

Steptoe was great, the whole point was that Albert Steptoe was a bit off and his son pretentious.
The David Jason thing was The Top Secret Life of Edgar Briggs, as above.
The Office was appaling but spawned a lot of decent things. The greasy fat bloke leading it just made me feel sick, still does.

I sometimes found Fawlty Towers just annoying as a farce usually is, just don't do that and it would be fine.

Sigh
I really liked 'Spy' with Darren Boyd and Robert Lindsay. It only ran for two series (plus one "Special"), which was just enough.

ah yes, many fans, a bit one dimensional, they were doing the same as the Dangerous Brothers about 10 years before.

True. But still makes me laugh. And don't forget Mr Jolly Lives Next Door, by far the funniest of the Comic Strips IMO
